THROWING ANALYSIS

Meet one on one or two to one with Doctor of Physical Therapy and throwing specialist, Abby Rehberger.

Each analysis includes 1 video analysis using state of the art PitchAI software.

In-depth instruction on throwing mechanics, injury prevention as well as building throwing speed and accuracy with various equipment, tools and video analysis.

Understanding PitchAI

“PitchAI is a mobile application and web based portal for baseball players of all ages. Using a smartphone or high speed video of your pitching mechanics, PitchAI produces reliable, accurate and actionable insights into human movement (biomechanics)”

PitchAI was launched to the public in April 2021 and Optimize purchased that same month! Click here for more info on PitchAI

PitchAI prides itself on the ability to:

  • Collect: Capture data directly from your smart phone with the easy to use PitchAI interface

  • Compare: Generate 3D diagrams to easily compare between any two pitchers — find out how the best perform, and learn to optimize your movements.

  • Correct: Design drills targeted at optimizing your movement efficiency. Use PitchAI to continuously compare your results as you progress in your training.

  • Compete: Because there is no need for sensors or lab technology, capture in game footage — use this to help identify fatigue, pitch tipping, or why that 95mph fastball felt so good.

What data points to focus on?

Although ProplayAI-PitchAI has an endless amounts of data to consider with each video recorded, we put a great deal of focus on the below listed data points.

Hip Shoulder Separation: The difference in angle between the trunk and pelvis, occurring close to the foot plant.

Kinematics Sequencing: Energy transfer between the lower half to the trunk/torso, to the arm.

Arm Path: The distance the hand travels from the top of peak kick, to foot plant (arm action).

Arm Speed: The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the hand is travelling.

Efficiency: The amount of arm speed divided by the amount of torque.

Torque: The amount of stress on the inside aspect of the elbow during pitching.
